Hello, I'm Shivam from Elk Grove Village, Illinois. I am working on my undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. When I am not studying or tutoring, I enjoy pursuing my interests in coding, sports, board games, and mathematics.I was drawn to tutoring because I had a positive tutoring experience as a student. In high school, I was tutored for AP and ACT preparation and enjoyed the process. I found the sessions very helpful and wanted to be able to offer that kind of support to other students. I have tutored all ages of students, and in a wide range of subjects. I have experience working with groups of students and with individuals. Personality traits that help me to be a good tutor include patience and the fact that I hold myself to high standards. I am skilled at discovering and adjusting to the appropriate pace for each student. I am particularly passionate about math, and have been since I was a child. I am committed to helping students achieve their goals and making sure each session is productive. I am available to tutor students in a number of subjects including algebra, calculus, geometry, statistics, computer science, and ACT and other test preparation.
